About the desk
NRI Paper Desk is an independent preparation service for Indian consular paperwork: passport renewal, OCI, surrender certificates, police clearance and PAN. We prepare the file. You submit it and pay the government directly.
We are not affiliated with VFS Global, BLS International, Al Hind, any consulate or High Commission, or the Government of India.
Why this exists
Because the process is designed to reject small mistakes, and almost nobody tells you what the small mistakes are. A photo that is the right size for the printed form and the wrong shape for the portal. An application printed the way last year’s checklist described. An OCI application filed before a surrender certificate was in hand. Each of those costs weeks, and each is avoidable in an afternoon by someone who has seen it before.

Who you are working with
A team of specialists who have worked on Indian consular applications for over 10 years — passports, OCI, surrenders, police clearance and PAN, across the missions and the application centres that handle them. Between us we have seen the rejection reasons that never appear on any checklist, in every corridor we cover.
Every message you send is read and answered by one of us, not a form letter and not a queue. Your case goes to whoever on the team knows that corridor best. If we cannot help with something, we say so and point you at whoever can.
How we treat facts
Every fee and rule on this site carries the source it came from and the date we checked it, and we re-check them monthly. Where the government’s own pages contradict each other, which happens more than you would expect, we show you both and tell you which one governs. Where we do not know something, we say we do not know rather than repeating what everyone else has copied.
